How will Kirsty get her comeuppance?

It's a given that Kirsty will be punished for all her misdeeds. The problem is, currently, Tyrone has no real proof of her abuse. Everything else is circumstantial. But we do know that Tyrone has already been arrested for allegedly pushing Kirsty down the steps and we know there will be a court hearing.

Apparently there has been two endings filmed to court case. The only "two endings" filmed are one or two scenes outside the location shoot to try to throw off the papparazzi. The ending would never have been in any doubt realistically because they wouldn't waste days and days filming further scenes that would come afterwards back on the Street.  The question is, how will it happen? How will Kirsty get her comeuppance?

The current lot of Papprazzi photos shows Kirsty's mother Alison outside the court with her daughter and I think her mother is going to be her downfall. Her mother knows what she went through growing up, both witnessing her mother being abused and being abused herself. If you look at those photos, her mother seems to be watching Fiz and Kirsty arguing and it's very possible that Kirsty loses her rag and lets something slip in front of her mother.  If not at that point, then I think she may have said or did something prior to the hearing that made her mother realize that Kirsty is lying and has been the abuser. I think her mother will testify in court against her daughter, hoping that her daughter will get help and the cycle will stop. I do hope that her mother will also find the courage to leave her husband and, in fact, possibly that's what brings her to Kirsty's side in the first place.

I hate that we'll lose Natalie Gumede but if Kirsty goes to jail for abusing Tyrone and/or for contempt of court, lying under oath and all that, then there's a chance she'll come back in future, especially since Tyrone will have Ruby. The last of this storyline, with Tyrone going on the run with the baby is a bit tiresome, only because it's a soap cliche but we have had the main event and now we have to work towards the ending of the story that's kept me watching for over a year. Superb performances and writing, painful to watch at times but in an admiring way, and now we will see the end of it.

Tyrone is the good guy, he must come out on top. If this was a murder, then possibly we would go down the  "Deirdre Barlow 'I didn't do it'" extremely tired route of the wrongfully imprisoned. It isn't, and I think the court hearing will be the finale. I may be wrong, of course, but I don't think they'll drag this out much further as it's been going on for this long already.

I wish they would close this story now it has been dragged out for far too long and the fact 'the street' have sided with Kirsty is more than bazaar.

Am considering turning off until it is all over with......

Me too - I fast forward through my PVR'd version of the show whenever I see the Kirsty bit. I will be happy to see the end of her!

It will be a pleasure to see Sally, Eileen and Julie have to eat crow when this all comes out.

I thought the storyline was brilliant at first as it highlighted that domestic violence towards men does happen. But all the storyline is showing now is that there is no happy ending for victims. It is hard enough for a man to come forward in a situation such as this and taking the storyline down this route will just make victims less likely to come forward. It is unrealistic.

Oh I think the victim, Tyrone, Will have a happy ending as far as it goes. He will not end up in jail and will probably end up with the baby. I can't imagine they would take a baby from him twice.

i cant wait for Kirsty to be humiliated in court proving that lying and manipulation doesn't pay. As well as showing that if you are a victim of domestic violence, coming out and admitting what is happening is hard but really important (instead of taking the route Tyrone did). Poor Ty, he's one of my favourite characters.

I too have found it hard to watch Eileen, Julie and Sally piling up against Ty, and supporting Kirsty. If nothing else, this storyline illustrates how quickly people assume that the batterer must be male, and how difficult it is to prove otherwise. Even Tyrone's lawyer told him he'd probably get a jail sentence.

Good theory, Tvor. Now that you mention it, I think Kirsty will blurt something out. She must be tormented inside and knows she needs help anyway.

There's a lot of stress involved in keeping up the pretence, the lies. Kirsty's bound to crack and show her true colours in front of someone. The "hearsay" part is so frustrating. Fiz and Tina both have seen the bruises but i'm not sure if she can testify to that and in any case, they didn't actually see how they happened. A solicitor would make quick work of that. I keep thinking that if Eileen could hear so much through the walls, surely she would have heard Kirsty cry in pain and she never would have.

I've loved Cory St for years. So at first the Tyrone / Kristy saga seemed to be a good story line. It wasn't easy to watch knowing this type of situation exists in many lives. However after a year...this story is so old I've stopped watching. Writers, it's time for something new!

Tyrone will come out on top, eventually. But I do think he's going to be sent down for a while.

If you look at those pictures, they are all dressed in the same clothes *except* for Kirsty. I'm thinking the shots with Fiz yelling at her are from the "Tyrone's guilty" ending after he's been hauled away.

Kirsty would most likely be dressed that way going into the courtroom, and unless she went crazy inside *and* changed clothes (for that other shot with her in cuffs), then I'm inclined to think that the "Tyrone's free" shots are a red herring.

The writers seem to love making Tyrone suffer, so I think it's far from over. He'll be in prison for a few months before it all comes out.

I feel that the subject of men suffering domestic abuse is a hard one to tackle - the street did well to raise this issue and in the past other issued raised have led to others seeking help - however I am disturbed at how this has all panned out and feel that corrie has put a negative spin on this very real issue and believe it has not done its job on helping men to come forward - in fact I believe that men who are n this situation will be put off reporting their situation - think it all started with the best of intentions by corrie- but it's gone very badly wrong!!!!!!!!!! End this madness ! Kirsty needs dealt with swiftly - shame on you corrie-

I'm disappointed that they haven't had Kirsty really going for help but the way it has panned out in the end, well, it's a soap and there is always some suspension of reality. We know in reality this would have played out over several years or even more but soaps compress timelines for things and then wrap up a story quickly. It's fiction and it isn't meant to reflect reality completely, just touch on issues like that and hopefully put some truth in it which i think they have done prior to the non-wedding.

Kirsty is basically alone in the world because all those people who seem to be her friends now would not be if they knew the truth. Every time Kirsty fools Julie, it probably convinces her even more that she can't trust Julie. Kirsty may do the most evil things, but her motivation is fear. In her mind, she was right to isolate Tyrone from everybody because look what happened when she didn't isolate him enough. For Kirsty to even want to make a go of it sort of makes me think that she expected Tyrone to eventually cheat on her (not fully realizing that she actually brought it about).

Kirsty's mom dropped hints about Kirsty having a bit of a temper earlier, so she could back up Tyrone's side of the story, but that would not completely mitigate those who believe Kirsty.

I think Kirsty going on TV to make the public plea for Ruby will be her downfall.

There was the situation where Tyrone went to that child at the daycare's birthday party and one of the mothers witnessed the argument.

Then there are the people in Kirsty's past. Kirsty said at the beginning that she was over cautious because her previous boyfriend cheated on her - which brings me to the last point: Kirsty existed before she met Tyrone and there are people from her past who know what she is really like.

As far as false accusations, isn't that something that an abusive person would do?

Now that Tyrone is arrested, though, there is no need for Kirsty to be on television though it will still be in the news. I'm sure that's how her mother will find out. Yes there are things in her past and little things that have happened between her and Tyrone but i don't know how thorough the police on a soap are. You're right in your assessment of her of course. She has no self esteem and has been damaged by her own upbringing.

I find it unbelievable that Ruby's birth certificate has not been mentioned in all the uproar to friends and police (despite Kirsty telling everyone that Tyrone is Ruby's dad - surely this would support Tyrone's case). Clearly the visits to the medical centre and hospital by Tyrone have also been swept under the carpet - unless the medical profession don't keep patient notes any more. Hope the corrie writers make the right decision and free Tyrone and lock up Kirsty. They need to show that for all those suffering abuse in the real world there is hope and maybe it will give real people the courage to get help and have a happy ending.

But you have to keep watching for Bogdon, what will that silly meerkat do next.

I don't think Kirsty ever will get her commeupance, judging by the way this storyline and previous storylines have been handled.

I also and longing for the slap that is due for Kirsty. I do hope that Tyrone is proved innocent in court, so that no one can say things like no smoke without fire etc. I have got into a right state about this and also think I can't bear to watch it any longer but then that is what the writers do, manipulte us. They are so good at it. The actress that plays Kirsty is excellent.

I am dreading the surrogate story line. What if by some awful mistake it is the baby of Tina's boyfriend ( forgotten name). Does anyone else find the surrogacy theme really disturbing?
